Code Ninjas Libertyville runs week-long summer coding camps built around themes kids already play — Roblox, Minecraft, YouTube and robotics — taught by instructors the company calls Code Senseis. Camps run Monday to Friday as half-day sessions, an AM block from 9:00am to 12:00pm and a PM block from 12:30pm to 3:30pm; families can enroll in both for a full day and send a lunch. Open to ages 5 to 14, with early drop-off from 8:00am and late pick-up until 5:00pm available for an added weekly fee. This is the Libertyville, IL center of the national Code Ninjas franchise.

Powered by GoogleCode Ninjas has been a wonderful experience for our family. The program allows children to learn coding at their own pace through game development, which keeps them engaged and motivated. The entire team is incredibly kind and always willing to support both students and parents. Our daughter truly enjoys her sessions and leaves each class feeling excited and accomplished. We can see her progress and achievements grow with each visit. The platform used to schedule and track sessions is very user-friendly and allows us to share in her learning journey as a family. We absolutely love Code Ninjas and highly recommend it as a fun and valuable learning experience for children.
I signed my son up for classes and wanted to pause my.membership after a few months. They still charged my account after I was told they wouldn't, resulted in me incurring $180 of overdraft fees by the time they reversed their wrongful charge. My bank only refunds 3 overdraft fees per calendar year so I only got $90 refunded. I am out $90 and the ability to have any other overdraft fees reversed for the rest of the year and the response from Code Ninjas has been very underwhelming. They only offered $100 in credit to spend on their services, which I no longer want to utilize and I'm out REAL money and being offered store credit because of their system "accidentally" charging me. My son also said he learned nothing and only ever played games like Subway Surfers or roblox when he was there for 3 months. Nothing to show for the classes except being out hundreds of dollars and having them rob me of my hard earned money after all that.
Kids work at their own pace. They can move through levels that are easy then get support when levels get hard. There are additional things kids can be part of like Mincraft Camp that kids can have with. Code Ninjas is an awesome program. I highly recommend it.
I looked for an enrichment opportunity for my 8 year old son. This experience has exceeded our expectations. My son is proud of the progress he makes through the belts and he loves attending his sessions. All of the staff are great! We cannot say enough good things about the program or this location!
I work in the IT industry and wanted to make sure my kids got a good introduction. The first little while was great. They learned basic coding concepts and logical thinking. But soon after, it turned into little more than typing practice. Retyping page after page of instructions "as is" with no thinking about what they were doing or why and no instruction / review of new concepts. The staff will help debug errors, but doesn't really teach. I complained about this and the general response was that if they typed enough code, they would just start to get it. Not overly inspiring from a learning perspective. My kids were eventually bored to tears and have lost all interest in the topic. Thanks Code Ninjas. Also, watch out. They will keep charging you after you try to quit and will drag out any attempt to cancel.
