Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club runs a youth sailing program out of Montrose Harbor for ages 8 to 18, open to all experience levels with no prior sailing required. Its Sailing Camp is offered in four separate two-week sessions, generally Monday through Friday 9am until 4pm, where beginners learn the basics and more advanced sailors refine technique. Beginners start in Prams, Optimists and 420s, learning to rig the boats and build confidence on the water; a Race Team is available for those ready to compete, entering two to three regattas a year. Camp costs $700 per session and club members receive a discount code.
