Carolina Rockies Baseball in Clemmons is a competitive youth travel baseball organization fielding teams from 13U through 18U, playing mostly local events with some tournament travel. It is a travel-team program rather than a summer camp.

Tryouts for 13U were so unorganized so many kids coaches had no idea what they were doing? And then after 4 tryouts was told we would hear either way, never did! Not impressed at all, not worth the drive for us from High Point.
The team that my grandson was playing with had only had 2 practices and then they played in this tournament. They had only been together for 4 days. They played in the championship game and came in 2nd. Extremely great for 11u travel baseball, with only 2 days practice.
I’m giving two stars because the facilities are NICE. Also, there are some great teams here. However, our personal experience is much different. We left Little League for “travel ball” in order to acquire better coaching and overall skill development. The team we ended up on was glorified “daddy ball” and our son gained nothing but battered self-esteem and a wasted season. Coaches tried to “correct” skills that were previously taught by much more credible sources, the kids were all but bullied by coaches, and the coaches relied solely on punishment and belittlement instead of evidence-based training, reinforcement, and sound coaching techniques to develop these young athletes. If you want to ditch “rec ball” for something more “prestigious” for your social media accounts, by all means, come on out. If you want to develop young athletes, keep looking, friends.
Live watching my grandson play for this organization with a bunch of great kids and coaches
