Clean! Kid zone always has the same faces so you'll feel comfortable leaving your littles while you work out. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. Best YMCA!
I’ve been a member at the Kernersville YMCA for several years, and the group fitness community is what keeps me coming back. The instructors are knowledgeable, welcoming, and truly invested in creating a positive experience for everyone. I’ve taken a wide range of classes—Pilates, yoga, cycling, tone, and Zumba—and every class has been well-led and inclusive. Special shout-out to Karen, Kimberly, and Adrienne for the recent Yoga, Body & Balance routine launch, as well as Leonia, Viridiana, and Teresa for their consistently intense and motivating workouts. You can feel the sense of community in these classes, and that makes all the difference. If you’re looking for a gym with great instructors and a supportive atmosphere, this YMCA is a great choice.
😃You definitely have to come Monday's and Wednesdays at 6 pm-ish to try out Vee & Robinson's Zumba classes!! They have 5-star routines, great dance interactions, and the music is puuurrrrrrfect! 🤣 Your heart is not overworked (unless you up your own intensity) and the songs are just long enough! I see new faces every week! 🗣💥#GetThereNow💥
I love this Y. I come here most mornings and have never had a real concern. The parking lot is big, always parking available. The gym has plenty of options, whether you're new to fitness or are an expert. I like taking some of the classes that are offered, like Yoga and Body Balance, specifically. One of the best parts is the childcare that is included. Before my youngest started daycare, he was in the child care center while I worked out each morning. They worked really hard to help get him adjusted, it could have been easy for them to get frustrated since he cried for most of the time starting out-- but they were actually a huge help in getting him acclimated to a world where he can play with some friends-- and where this Mama can get healthy just down the hall. The indoor pools are great, my oldest took swim lessons here. When the outdoor pools are open in the Summer, we frequent them A LOT. My oldest has played several sports here and has learned a lot and made some friends-- as have I and my husband. I used to be on the Board a couple of years ago, and I got firsthand experience with the work that they do and how much they genuinely seem to care about what they do. It was truly an honor and a great experience. We have used the summer camp and the after-school care in the past, both convenient and fairly priced. I look forward to continuing my health journey here.
