Our first visit since the remodel. Everything was really nice, they put in a lot of effort. You can tell they are interested in keeping the park updated and looking nice. Costs for tickets are still reasonably priced and family friendly. 3 cons though: 1st) I searched all over their website and found nowhere that said the park was cashless. This information is very important to have before attending a game. We don't mind not using cash but this made it impossible to let out kids buy their own snacks and was inconvenient in not knowing before (we had pulled cash out specifically to use there). 2nd) No ceiling fans in the grandstand. The old grandstand had them, it was a perk of paying extra for the seats. Makes no sense to not have them anymore especially in this southern heat. 3rd) Food issues- I appreciate the expanded menu and the prices could be worse. But running out of food (when expecting a sold out game especially on the Fireworks night) seems like poor management and I saw in other reviews that this happens frequently. It's better to have more than needed and then give to the players at the end of the night or donate it (which would could be a tax write off so it is a bonus for the businesses). I understand you're also in a contract with Pizza Inn but I'd reconsider, we did not buy any pizza but many people around us did. The pizza did not look fresh or appetizing and many people around us made comments that it wasn't good. Overall it was a great night, park was clean, good condition, fairly priced and the family had a nice time. We'll be back and hope to see the park continue to improve.

First of all, the renovation looks great! The paved parking lot, new concession stands, covered seating areas, etc... are all nice improvements. However, prices for admission have doubled. If I remember correctly, seats behind home plate used to be $6. They are now $12...and cash is no longer accepted. Also, the big fans have been removed. It was so nice having them to circulate the air. With all the use it gets, I certainly understand the turf field, but I do miss grass. I also miss the Copperheads. I thought that was such a cool mascot, with cool colors. While I'm not crazy about Zookeepers, I can live with it. But, the uniforms/colors are hideous. They look like pajamas, with no true "team" color. They have brown and khaki, green & black, and red & yellow. Ok, enough of my rant. We will still go to games, just not as often as we used to. I love baseball, supporting local, and watching these college kids from all over come together as a team.

Cancelled the longstanding Asheboro tradition of Baseball and fireworks on July 4th with no effort to inform the folks of Asheboro and Randolph county. No effort was made by staff or the city to inform the people who pack the median of the highway, the bridges, and surrounding businesses that come out every year for the show. The game was over and there were still hundreds of people lined up waiting for the fireworks to start.. What a shame. Its almost like whoever took over is not a local and had no idea what this tradition meant to the city. Complete disaster allowing all of those people to waste their 4th of July without informing them. So little effort was put into the 4th that the American Flag was tangled up in the speakers hanging on a light pole.
