Camp Winacka and Camp Whispering Oaks are Girl Scouts San Diego sleepaway camps on an oak-woodland site outside Julian, roughly 60 miles east of San Diego. Winacka campers have regular pool periods and a swim assessment, and horse programs run there; Whispering Oaks campers do water games and sprinkler activities with a weekly chance to swim at the Winacka pool. Session lengths are three, five, seven and twelve days across a season whose camp offices run June 15 - July 27, 2026, with optional round-trip bus service from Mission Valley and Escondido at $90. Camp is technology-free, all meals are tree-nut and peanut free, and a full-time healthcare staff member holding an RN, paramedic, CNA, PA or EMT credential lives on each site; both camps are ACA-accredited.
