Palomar Christian Conference Center
Palomar Christian Conference Center runs its own week-long overnight summer camps at 34764 Doane Valley Rd on Palomar Mountain, alongside hosting visiting church groups. Two programmes run through the summer: Adventure Camp for boys entering grades 6-12, capped at 20 campers, where they sleep out at woodland campsites, cook their own breakfasts and rotate through archery, paintball, land navigation, fire building and knife safety; and Horse Camp for girls ages 9-18, capped at 15 a week, covering horsemanship, mounted archery, color guard and horse science classes, ending in a Friday Showdeo. Days on both programmes are built around a morning Bible study or morning message, activity blocks, a campfire and a night game. The horse wranglers are CHA Certified, and proceeds from camp-store cookie and horse-treat purchases go to a camper scholarship fund.

Powered by GoogleWOW!! I can't say enough good things about this camp. I took my youth group here twice a year in the early 2000s and just started coming back with my Trail Life troop. It's even better than it was before. The food is great, the zipline and gun range are super fun, and the staff are incredible. Strongly recommend!
It was amazing! For my youth group I was a student and the staff was so nice and fun! There was this one staff that was Philippino and he was sooooo funny! He was operating the archery range and explained things in a fun way I dont remember his name but he was so cool! And over all the camp was so good for my first year there! And me and my friends went the creek and it was so cool
The place itself is nice. Cabins are good quality. I went in the summer and there wasn't any air conditioning. Other than that, not bad. Since it's basically built on a mountain, there is a LOT of climbing up steep hills. It made it pretty tiring in the dead of summer. However, all in all, a good experience.
What an incredible place to get in touch with nature and tranquility! The trails are amazing. The peacefulness is unmeasurable. You get engulfed by the trees and can’t help breathing in amazing fresh air! The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. Accommodations could be a little better. Food choices were plenty but could use a few more healthy choice varieties. The views are spectacular from every angle and the sunsets were breathtaking!
Totally loved this place! Highly recommend for your next camping retreat. Staff is super friendly and the chefs make some good food.
