My daughter (kindergarten) attended the Fall Science Camp at SD Lab Rats, and she absolutely LOVED it! Every day she came home excited, with something fun to show and new science concepts to share. In just three short days, her love for science exploded! She’s always enjoyed doing “experiments” at home, but after camp, she couldn’t stop talking about chemical reactions and physical changes. She even said she wished Thanksgiving wasn’t coming so she could go back to camp. The instructors and staff were passionate, friendly, and engaging. Huge shout-out to Miss Butterfly, the Merrill brothers, and the entire team for making science so fun for the kiddos! The space is clean, well-organized, and in a great location. Thank you for giving her three unforgettable days, she may very well become a scientist one day! We can’t wait to come back for future camps. Highly recommend SD Lab Rats to any parent looking for a fun, educational experience for their kids!

LabRats put on an incredible science event at our elementary school! The presenters were engaging, fun, and did an amazing job bringing science to life for our 3rd–6th graders. The experiments were hands-on, exciting, and easy for students to understand—everything from chemistry reactions to engineering challenges kept them curious and involved the entire time. The program was well-organized, educational, and inspiring. Our students left buzzing with excitement about science and asking when LabRats would be coming back! LabRats did a really fun Science Demonstration night at our school for Grades 3-6, they brought several cool experiments the kids loved, and facilitated them. The experiments and LabRats team (Jason and his brother) were engaging, creative and a hit! They demo’d dry ice fire extinguishers, the power of air thru vacuum and chemical reactions making alginate worms. I was impressed with their professionalism, fun engaging presence with kids and variety of interesting experiments they offered. I also loved the family run, local business aspect, and how passionate they were about kids STEM. They will also customize their offerings to your needs at school assemblies, STEM night or during school activities, etc. we are excited to work with them again for a K-2 STEM night. And they have kids science enrichment classes and camps at their facility by Palomar Airport, we’ll be trying these. Highly recommend!

A fantastic, hands-on science experience for curious kids! My son absolutely loves LabRats—both the summer camp and the school-year classes. It’s the perfect mix of learning and fun, and he always comes home excited to tell us about the latest experiment or discovery. From chemical reactions to robotics, the variety of activities keeps him engaged and eager to explore more. What I appreciate most is that he’s not just being taught science—he’s experiencing it. The instructors do a great job explaining concepts in a way that makes sense to kids while still challenging them to think critically. It’s hands-on, messy (in the best way), and completely immersive. If you’re looking for a place where your child can develop a love for STEM while having a blast, I can’t recommend LabRats enough. We drive an hour every week to the class because my child wouldn’t want to miss it. It’s his highlight of the week! The science is so educational, informative and fun!! The equipment used is sophisticated and the teachers are real scientists!! We are truly grateful for the positive influence from these phenomenal educators and science projects. Thank you for making a huge impact and difference in our community!! This is a new location with larger space to do more fun experiments!
