Border View Family YMCA runs full-day summer day camp at 3601 Arey Drive in San Diego, with two specialty tracks: STEM & Sports, which pairs hands-on science experiments with a different sport each day (soccer, flag football, volleyball, dodgeball and more), and STEM & Swim, which pairs the same STEM work with pool swimming and water games. Camp runs 8:00am-4:00pm in weekly sessions for ages 5-13, with drop-off from 7:30am and pick-up until 5:00pm, and a typical day alternates specialty rotations with activity stations for arts and crafts, STEAM, songs and games. Non-member rates for 2026 were $309 a week for STEM & Sports and $369 for STEM & Swim, with Y Community members saving up to 10% and Y Community Plus up to 15%; a nonrefundable deposit of up to $60 holds each week. The camps are ACA-accredited, and the branch offers Access Scholarship financial assistance and accepts third-party payments from CDA, CRS, KINSHIP and Cal-Works.

Powered by GoogleMy daughter is handicap and we love coming to this Y for the pool. They have the right equipment for her to get into the pool. The staff is amazing! She also enjoys chair yoga with Alex. Great instructor 👏 so glad they opened more hrs for the pool.
I'm getting pretty irritated with the service here. Veronica doesn't seem like she knows what she is doing at all. When I called to pay the virtual 10 dollar membership, I had to repeat myself 4 times because she wasn't paying attention. She said your membership is already paused. Duh. I said I just communicated that. For what the Y is. This is not worth it. I may cancel and go somewhere else. Or transfer to the Y in eastlake. Service is way better.
I’ve been coming to this gym on and off for years, and I honestly have to say one of the best upgrades they’ve made is installing the new vending machine. It’s such a simple addition, but it makes a big difference. If I ever forget my water bottle, I can easily grab one right there. Same with protein bars or a protein shake after a workout super convenient and saves me an extra stop. It’s those small details that really improve the overall experience. Love seeing the gym continue to make improvements like this! 💪
I worked with Eddie for the Team Challenge. He is a very knowledgeable coach. He challenged us to lift weights beyond what I thought possible! He really knows how to use the machines and how to motivate people!
This was the location of my covid-19 vaccine. The organization was great. There were people arriving without the proper documents. Yet the staff treated them fairly and rapidly. The time waiting was reasonable compared to the people present. The YMCA was very clean and well organized. Congrats 🥳 for providing this great service to our community.
