Camp Cedar Glen is an ACA-accredited United Methodist overnight camp founded in 1947 at 743 Farmer Road in Julian, surrounded by mountain ranges and the Volcan Mountain Wilderness Preserve. Summer camp is organised as three faith-formation sessions - Elementary for campers entering grades 1-6, Junior High for grades 7-9, and Senior High for entering grade 10 through graduating seniors - each built around worship, music, small groups, food, nature and camp activities. Campers apply online through the California-Pacific Conference's CampInTouch portal; 2026 prices were $395 for the five-day elementary session and $525 for the week-long junior and senior high sessions, each with an early-bird rate for registration by March 1. The site also hosts year-round retreats and team-building on its challenge course.

The Baha'i Faith had a retreat here in early summer, and I enjoyed the staff, the camp, and everything provided by Freedom and the team at Camp Cedar Glen. The drive up was super smooth and scenic, the area is beautiful, the layout of the camp is nicely planned, plenty of activities including swimming, but above all the staff/people running this camp were amazing. Also being in nature there are naturally little hiccups that can arise here and there and Freedom's leadership, communication and solutions were attentive, efficient, and much more. Truly great camp experience start to finish! It was an excellent experience. Would attend another camp here again 100%!
