Camp Parsons is a Boy Scouts resident summer camp on the shores of Hood Canal in Brinnon, operated by the Chief Seattle Council and running since 1919 as the oldest continuously operating Scouts BSA camp west of the Mississippi. It offers about six week-long sessions each summer with swimming, canoeing and sailing, a climbing tower, rifle and archery ranges, an ATV program and a craft lodge, with merit-badge work throughout. ★★★★★Nic ShermanScout Camp and staff were excellent. Few experiences will add better value for your kids than Scouting and Scout summer camp. Great structure planned out in each day. Events, competitions, food, classes for kids and adults. Even though the waterfront staff is excellent in every capacity, the safe swim area (due to no wave activity grinding the rocks and shells down) is not a place i want my non swimmer. Farther out towards the floating island dock (where it's deep enough that you cant contact the shells and rocks it's the best ever. HUGE swimmer area! The salt water of P Sound allows you to swim better and farther than your used to in fresh water. The pier jump and the Polar bear pier jump are a great experience! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to jump fifteen feet down into the ocean at 06:00? Wonder no more. Come do it at camp parsons and wonder no more! I LOVE CAMP PARSONS!!!!!! 🏊♂️

★★★★★Alex HixsonOur Troop spent a week at camp and had a great time. Our Troop recevied honor troop an each scout earned an average of three and a half merit badges. The food and staff were amazing. The water was also great, they have kayaks, canoes and sail boats. They also have an amazing pier where we did a pier jump from about 14ft into the water. There were a lot of competitions near the end of camp, of which we got 3rd in the octipus cup, 4th in the relay race, and one of our patrols got 2nd for best patrol. Overall camp was great and I would definetly recommend it to any one thinking of going.
★★★★Michael WildayJust spent s week at Camp Parsons with my son’s Boy Scout troop. The camp program was very good with multiple opportunities for scouts to advance in rank and earn merit badges learning amazing things like wilderness survival, oceanography, rowing, camping, and more. The only downside to this camp was the camp menu. Food consisted mainly of high carbohydrate meals and little protein. The menu felt like it was designed to save funds, and overall seemed to be sub-par. The staff were incredibly friendly, were super helpful, and all counselors were handpicked from 16-18 year old scouts that proved to be well versed in scouting skills and qualities. Definitely a must visit for any scout looking for a rustic, ocean-based camping opportunity.
