Okizu runs free week-long sleepaway camp sessions for Northern California and Northern Nevada children ages 7-17 who have or have had cancer (Oncology Camp) and for their brothers and sisters (SIBS Camp), plus weekend Family Camps and a program for bereaved teens. Campers join a close-knit group for outdoor activities alongside peers who understand their situation; sessions are hosted at partner campsites including Camp Arroyo in Livermore, Camp Taylor in Modesto and Walker Creek Ranch in Petaluma rather than at the Novato office. Eligibility requires a physician's approval and a parent or guardian's consent, and registration closes two weeks before each session starts. All programs are offered free of charge.
