Camp McKee is the 900-acre Scouting America resident camp of the Blue Grass Council, in the Knobs region of eastern Kentucky near Mount Sterling. Its overnight summer camp serves Scouts (roughly ages 11-17) with boating, swimming, archery, shooting sports, outdoor skills, nature study and a merit-badge program of over fifty options, plus a first-year camper program and a High Adventure track for Scouts 14 and older. Camp is attended by Scout troops rather than individual open enrollment.

I was a scout growing up in a different area and coming back with my son was a fantastic reminder of how great scouting is. They have a fantastic water front area. Beautiful dining hall. Numerous camp sites. At summer camp they had the nice canvas tents on platforms set up and cots in each tent. Scouting is what you make of it and this place facilitates that fantastically. If you're looking for a nice summer camp destination or just weekend getaway this is it. Importantly. sites all have bathroom "facilities" and sinks. At least 2 shower facilities as well.
