Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is a nonprofit overnight camp for children living with and beyond cancer and their siblings, held downtown where Hilton hotels are converted into bunk cabins. Campers take part in campfires, talent shows, arts and crafts, games and excursions to attractions around the city. Medical staff are on site for the duration of camp to administer medications, change dressings and respond to campers' health needs, and all staff are background checked and trained. There is no financial cost to families; the organization also runs virtual camp programs when in-person camp is not possible.
