Camp Integem is a technology day camp run by Integem Inc. at 15 California locations, one of them in Santa Monica, for ages 6 to 18. Campers pick a track - AR coding and game design, AI and robotics engineering, drones and space exploration, or AR digital art and animation - and build projects such as smart robots, AI-powered drones and 3D augmented-reality games viewable through a webcam. The day runs 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with snack breaks, a lunch hour and indoor/outdoor play, plus optional extended care until 5:00 p.m. The program is WASC-accredited and an NVIDIA partner; older students can earn NVIDIA AI certificates, and scholarships and early-bird discounts are available.

She was able to build her own drone from start to finish, and along the way she learned some interesting concepts that she was excited to share at home. The teachers were helpful and made sure she felt comfortable as she worked through each step. Getting the drone to fly was a big moment for her, and she was very proud of what she accomplished. For us, it was nice to see her so engaged in both the building and the learning. It was a good experience overall, and we’d be glad to sign her up again in the future.
