CAL Tennis runs weekly summer tennis camps in San Francisco, meeting Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Campers ages 7-14 focus on tennis skill development and match play alongside a variety of other camp activities, and are evaluated and grouped by skill level first and then by age at the camp director's discretion. Beginner and novice tracks are available, and sessions are sold by the week at $595. Because days end at 1:00 PM, the camp does not cover a full workday.

Powered by GoogleAbsolutely amazing place to learn and practice tennis (I'm a relatively advanced albeit rusty player). The coach is skilled, knowledgeable and provides engaging lessons. I always have a good time during one-on-one and group sessions.
can’t recommend this enough! From the very first lesson, it was clear that they have an incredible passion for the game and a true talent for teaching. Their ability to break down complex techniques into simple, actionable steps has significantly improved my game in a short period of time. What sets them apart is their personalized approach. They take the time to understand your goals, strengths, and areas for improvement, tailoring each session to your specific needs. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, they meet you at your level and push you to achieve your best. Beyond technical skills, their coaches foster a positive and motivating environment. They balance constructive feedback with encouragement, making every session not only productive but also genuinely fun. If you’re looking to elevate your tennis game while enjoying the process, look no further than CalTennis academy. Their expertise, dedication, and passion for teaching make them a standout coach. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from them!
Coach Frantz is the best. He is very personable and had a great sense of humor. He made me feel comfortable and his teaching is so amazing. He is tedious about the many swings in tennis and very professional and will call you out for mistakes. That’s why you need a coach like him. He will fix you. I play golf and tennis in college, needed a brush up and he delivers! Please see him and take your game to the next level!
We were fortunate to discover Cal Tennis and Frantz just at the time our 8 year old son was getting into tennis. Now he is improving at a fast pace and we have Frantz to thank for it.
Frantz has been an excellent coach. He makes deeply insightful comments about my mechanics and he knows what he's talking about. Also, he doesn't "overdo it" in terms of telling me ten things to work on. His coaching suggestions are few but highly impactful. I have attended his private lessons and his clinics. Both are well organized and productive and FUN! I recommend Franz without reservation.
