My son participated in summer programs with Bold Earth starting in 8th grade and continuing through the end of High School. After initially researching many different similar programs we went with Bold Earth and we cannot say enough good things about it. My son grew as a person and was comfortable being in situations outside his comfort zone. The staff all 4 years were amazing as is Josh, Jacqueline and everyone else back in the office. As a parent, I was very comforted knowing my son was well looked after and safe and that I could call or email the office staff and talk with someone about any questions I had. If you are deciding between Bold Earth and another program....choose Bold Earth!! They are truly the best :)

Bold Earth was such an incredible experience for our 7th grade class! I attended as a teacher chaperone, and I was consistently impressed by the camp counselors, who were engaging, supportive, and fantastic with students. The activities pushed both students and adults out of our comfort zones in meaningful ways while still feeling safe and encouraging. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the overall organization of the program made the trip feel smooth and well-run. As a teacher, I especially appreciated the balance they struck between giving us freedom while also creating an environment where I could trust the counselors to effectively manage and support the students. It allowed me to stretch myself too and fully participate alongside my kids. What stood out most was the emphasis on reflection and growth. Bold Earth went beyond simply creating “fun outdoor experiences” and really helped students think about what they were learning about resilience, teamwork, confidence, and themselves, and how those lessons apply to life outside of camp. Truly an excellent program, and one I would absolutely recommend to schools and educators!
