Horrible experience. I placed a deposit of $300 and my daughter could not attend the 2025 summer camp I've called email and texted and been ignored. Very unprofessional. Never had to file a small claims lawsuit until now.

My daughter has become such a confident swimmer thanks to the team at BKLA!

What was previously a great facility has gone down the drain. I noticed this during the 2024 summer camp season. Most staff, with the exception of director, Tatyana Nurse, and Mrs. Kim, are extremely unprofessional. Other members of leadership/directors do not act in a manner that is consistent with their role. Fast forward to the 2025 camp season. After several calls to BKLA, I finally was able to reach someone. They let me know that they don’t have much information on summer camp, but they do know that there will be a change of location. Where? They had no clue. I was also told that some of my and my daughters favorite staff members are no longer there. They took my information, and someone was going to call me back. This was over a week ago. I’ve heard nothing yet. Apparently, Summer Camp will now be operating out of a renovated church, in Brownsville. I’m quite sure they will not be able to offer the same level of service/activities/care as they have in previous years, with so much going on and no clear or definite plan. Best of luck to them. Will not be returning. Update after response from owner: The words “renovated church” came from a member of your staff. As far as “working” with me, I’ve always paid for your services, in full, in cash. Other than my last-min after school enrollment, I do not think you’ve had to work with me through many “situations.” We are happy to hear your primary focus is to elevate camper experience, as it should be. Hopefully things move in that direction. As I said, best of luck.
