A community arts center on Chicago's South Side whose Summer Arts Camp is a full-day program, 8:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, for ages 5-15. Campers take daily classes in dance, music, theater and visual arts with their age group, plus outdoor recreation in the courtyard and take-home craft projects. Sessions close with a free showcase in which campers perform a themed variety show and display their artwork in a mini gallery; admission is rolling through the first Thursday of each session.

★Sandra DavisThe Mountain Top play on January 18, 2026, was a terrible depiction of Dr. King's legacy. We all know that people are human, but this was a horrific injustice to his memory, and to be shown during the celebration of his birthday and holiday was a travesty. I will never understand how the Beverly Arts Center thought this was an appropriate presentation. Shame on you.

Great space for our area here and I'm sure I'll look to catch some more stage plays put on in the future. Anyone considering attending their Events ought to feel comfortable and welcomed here IMO based on what my (first time attendance) guest and I experienced. 👍 Apologies for not having a single photo to add to the collection, since I don't often bring my phone out like that for Live Events. But now I'm realizing I should've grabbed a photo of the cast's Curtain Call or their return for Extra Bow to add to this "Review" of the location.
