★★★★Heather StarnesSuch a fun place! I was a member while I was young, my children were young and now as a Mimi, I get to bring my grandkids. I took a star from the rating because they have started adding fees to visit the Waterpark $15/child. Just ridiculous!
★Malaurie WargoI wouldn’t recommend this soccer program based on our experience with the Sports Director. The final game was cancelled due to weather, even though conditions were very mild and games have been played in worse. Radar showed most of the rain moving away from the Fort Mill area, yet there was no attempt to delay, reschedule, or make it work. What was most disappointing was how the end of the season was handled. The kids missed out on their final game and a chance to be with their teammates, and there was no effort from the coaches to acknowledge the season. Medals were handed out at the front desk from a ripped open plastic bag with no ceremony, no team photos, and no real sense of closure for the kids. There was also no communication around a makeup game or refund, especially since referees did not show up. As parents, these seasons are meaningful and short, and it’s frustrating when the experience feels so dismissive. Kids benefit from learning to play in less than perfect conditions, and this felt like a missed opportunity all around. The sports director says it’s bc of field safety and yet this particular YMCA has had a massive dirt pit in the middle of one of the fields for years and they have done nothing to remedy the fields and continue to take money.
★Enzo Green IIThe basketball court and weight room are fine. The issue is a pungent smell of feces in the men's locker room which gets worse as you get closer to the showers. The smell is so bad I will not be back. As someone who enjoys using the sauna and steam rooms which are located in the men's locker room close to the showers. This has to be a sanitation issue. As no other YMCA Up that I have attended thus far have this odor. This y didn't smell like this in the past either. If management sees this please take action to correct.
★★★★★Alex LaiThe water park area is superb. It’s divided into 3 areas, an adult water slide, a pool area up to 5-7 feet deep (not sure about that) and a kiddie area. One of the things I like about this is the ample lifeguards on duty. In the kiddie pool area, there are usually two lifeguards on both sides of the pool. One time my 4-year-old fell and cut his lip, one of the lifeguards was there within seconds and another rendered first aid.
★★★★★Msy DoesirI and the kids visit regularly. Mostly for swim classes. The location have classes all year long and the instructor are great. Shout out to Max. He’s been helping me become a great swimmer 🏊♀️.
