Badger Swim Club, based in Larchmont since 1956, is a nationally ranked competitive swimming organization; badgerswimming.com is its Learn to Swim arm. Its programs run from beginner Learn to Swim classes through a non-competitive Transition Team for swimmers refining stroke technique, an Age Group competitive team for ages 6-13, and a Senior Team for ages 13-18 coached by John Collins that has produced Olympians, national champions, and collegiate swimmers. Competitive team places are set by tryout. These are year-round lesson and team programs rather than a summer camp.
