Arlington Children's Theatre (ACT) is a nonprofit community theatre that runs four two-week summer musical theatre sessions in the greater Boston area. Campers rehearse scenes and songs from a classic musical and perform them for family on the final Friday, with daily classes in movement, voice, acting and theatre games filling out the day. Sessions run 9:00am-4:00pm and are grouped by age, with 2026 sessions listed for ages 6-11 and ages 8-12 at High Rock Church. Founded in 1991, ACT is open-enrollment with no audition required.

★A KVery cliquey. The students have zero respect for their peers or instructors. They were told not to throw anything from the balcony at a performance but they did anyway and injured an attendee. Zero accountability. They lost out on money that would have secured them a permanent space because the donor's child was bullied.

Our kids were given barely any lines, and decided that it’s not worth their time. ACT refused to refund the money without an agreement which would ban our kids from participating in any future shows. We hope that ACT would get back to its roots and benefit all participating kids, not just selected few. As soon as this happens, I’d love to change the star rating.

Really not professional and quite horrible. Took me 1-hour to drive their in rush hour. The organization has not returned my phone call or email.
