American Music School is a family-owned music school on South Van Gordon Court in Lakewood, open since 1989, teaching piano, guitar, drums, violin and other instruments to students of all ages and skill levels, in person or virtually. The first lesson is free and the school hosts community events and recitals for students; no summer camp program is listed on its site.

Erin P makes piano fun for my 8 year old, she’s encouraging, shows my daughter what’s next, and she’s learning to read sheet music. My other daughter takes cello lessons and we received help tuning her cello and getting answers about cello tape - Alana at the front desk can also help with string instruments. She’s so sweet. Wonderful and professional experience with every staff member here. They’re also very accommodating with occasional schedule changes, rates are very reasonable for quality received. I’m happy my children can read and enjoy music!
