The Spark is a Boulder performing arts community offering summer musical theatre programming in a camp format, with all performers attending during program hours. Programs are aimed at students with some previous theater experience, generally ages 10 and up, and specialized training workshops are recommended for ages 11 and up. Beginners and younger students ages 5–9 are directed to its collaborating company, Boulder Performing Arts Company.

The cast was engaging and funny (my cheeks hurt from smiling by the end of the show), the show was cute and reminded me of all the things I loved in the book growing up, and the space made the interaction with the cast and the audience feel very intimate and a large part of the experience. I look forward to seeing more shows at The Spark in the future, and would recommend seeing a show there to anyone at any age!
