Swallow Hill Music is a Denver nonprofit music school whose week-long summer day camps run at its building at 71 E. Yale for ages 6 to 18. Explore! Music campers (6-10) try guitar, ukulele, percussion and other instruments around a new theme each week, with themed crafts and outdoor play; House of Rock campers (11-15 or 14-18 depending on the week) form bands and close each week with a staged concert complete with sound system, engineer and lights, and a songwriting-and-recording week produces an original album. Campers are dropped off between 8:45am and 9:00am and picked up between 2:55pm and 3:15pm, bring their own lunch, and all staff are First Aid and CPR certified. Aftercare runs to 4 or 5pm for Explore! campers and tuition assistance is available.

Some might call it "intimate." I thought it was great. Great sound, more than comfortable seats, no bad views of the stage in the room. Swallow Hill Music supports music, including local music, so I will support Swallow Hill Music as often as I can! 🎶💜🎶

★★★★Matt HarperRefurbished church turned into a music venue. Not a massive amount of seating, so get there early for popular groups/ performers. Pretty good acoustics. The stage is elevated, so most seats have a decent view. Still have to lean to see some performers at times. Swallow Hill is a non-profit group that does music lessons, events, and performances through state arts funding. Enough street parking in surrounding area to not walk far to get there. Not my favorite venue ever, but also not my least favorite. Worthwhile attending shows there!
