A Step Ahead (ASA Hoops) runs basketball day camps in Newton for boys and girls ages 7–15, with full-day sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at local schools and colleges such as Lasell University and Charles E. Brown Middle School. Weeks include general skills camps plus themed weeks like shooting/scoring and team concept, featuring drills, scrimmages and evaluations. ASA also runs year-round clinics, classes and AAU.
