YWCA is awesome! Such a great source for useful info around asheville :) $10 for a day pass
I have been a member of the YWCA for 2 years. There is a strong sense of belonging and community. The staff and instructors genuinely care about their members, giving individualized attention to those with special needs. The gym equipment is state of the art and is kept clean and well maintained. The YWCA helps me along my journey of health and wellness. Thank you for empowering me to be my better self.
I recently rejoined the "W" & so happy I did. A true community, I felt welcome on day 1!! As a long time resident of Asheville it was great to walk in a class & see SO many folks I have known for many years- just like being at home. I have always appreciated the Mission statement & decided to put my $$ where my heart is. The teachers are awesome, knowledgeable & FUN!!!! Lots of variety to choose from. Special shout out for Delia, she has a an excellent eye & gives LOTS of modifications as needed in all of her multilevel classes. thanks YWCA.
My family has been YWCA members for years and have enjoyed the spacious gym, pool, and many inclusive fitness programs they offer (like prenatal fitness). It's never crowded and they have ALL the machines and weights I (or anyone, really) needs to complete an effective push, pull, leg weight training program. Aside from a few cardio machines that might be out of order, I have found all the machines and free weights to be in good working order. Despite not being "new," these machines are consistently accessible and available! But the real reason I love coming to the YWCA is because it's more than a gym, it's a community! I support their anti-racism mission, educational programming, and affordable day care for working parents. It's been great to see the positive impact they've had on the local community here in the South French Broad and Southside neighborhood! 💕
