Hendersonville Family YMCA
Private
The Hendersonville Family YMCA, part of the YMCA of Western North Carolina, hosts the Y's summer day camps for kids, including the theme-based Discovery Camp (rising first graders to age 12) and Henderson County Adventure Camp. Camps run through the summer (roughly mid-June to mid-August) with weekly themes built around activities and field trips, plus swimming. The nonprofit Y offers scholarships and financial assistance.

Powered by Google4/14/26: UPDATE: I just signed up for EGYM. Lucinda worked with me and she was fantastic. She took her time and explained everything! She is a great teacher. I highly recommend seeking her out for anything! I have enjoyed going to this Y. The staff is helpful and very easy to work with. I spent some time with Linda Cox and she gave such good advice. I’m glad I joined.
My past involvement with exercise at gyms Has not been positive. And that is because I would overdue and always hurt myself. This is the first time in my long life that I have been in an exercise program That has been 100% positive for me. Thank you, YMCA.
Love this facility. We use the E-gym 1-3 times a week. Also the fact that the facility is always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer great classes and new programs to get fit. The pool is a great asset also
I love the Hendersonville YMCA. It's smaller and more intimate than other branches. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. They are constantly upgrading the facilities and equipment. The choice of classes and sports for kids is diverse. The child care is a great benefit for families as well.
We’re just getting started and we love it! This is a Very Family Friendly environment where staff greets you when you enter and when you leave. We joined for EGYM and use it each visit. An 11 machine workout circuit with about 110 seconds per machine takes about 21 minutes per rotation so two rotations, even with wait time if there’s a line, is less than an hour. It’s something that we can do together and yet have our own individualized workout. The EGYM keeps track of everything you do and keeps your stats on the YMCA WNC app where you can log in to view your progress on the Wood-Bronze-Silver-Gold-Platinum-Diamond scale. It provides positive reinforcement to keep exercising while keeping it fun.
