Powered by GoogleThis place has really changed. I been a member for over 15 years. It was much different when it was the sport club. The one on Congaree road increased their membership fees to over $100 per month with NO upgrades. You are denied the indoor swimming pool as well as the Jacuzzi every day due to Kid club up to 2:30pm. They sent No newsletter or email letting members know the pool and jacuzzi was off-limits!The water in the showers are cold some days and the steam room is out of order most of the time! Unlike the one in Simpsonville they provide you towels and a locker, this one gives you nothing. But they have increased their rates twice! Some of the front desk staff members are so rude!!
Bad experience with the membership department specifically. My brother and I were on the same membership for a while, and my family has been a member at Sportsclub, which is now ACAC, for over 20 years now. He cancelled it a couple of weeks back, but I wasn't 100% sure about the official end date of the membership. So, I figured the front desk would stop me when the membership expired to alert me of this at the time I entered and ask if I would be interested in speaking to membership department about renewing. Which, I was planning to do. I walked in to workout and scanned my tag at the front desk - no problem. I jump on the treadmill, and a couple of minutes into my run, someone from the front desk came and told me that my membership was expired and pulled me off the treadmill. I had to jump on the two side rails in order to speak to her while the treadmill was running. She told me that my "membership had been cancelled". Membership cancelled? So, I hop off the treadmill and head to the membership. I walk in, and the gentleman didn't greet me or introduce himself. Before even telling me about any packages that they have available, he just starred ahead at his computer and said "your membership has been cancelled and we can't have you in the gym". I was taken back by the interaction. It was as if I had done something wrong and was being asked to leave the property. Finally, he just said "it will be $78/month for a membership" if you want to stay, again, without any smiles or personality at all. He didn't explain what services I would be receiving for $78/month or anything. ACAC offers tennis courts, raquetball courts, weights a swimming pool, etc, so I had no idea what was included $78/month (and still am not sure). By this point, with the lack of common courtesy, zero custom appreciation for a long-time member, and nil customer service...I decided it was time to check other options. I do not recommend ACAC - EXTREMELY disappointing and poor experience.
Great instructors. Ashley and Brian were top notch and got right to it. $75 for private & no membership required. Rare in the area making it a true gem for tennis players. They helped break a racket in that won a tournament nearby that weekend. Great facility with many clay courts and hard. Beautiful tennis area to the side of the complex
I was a guest today and the staff was very friendly, reasonable fee, very clean and has everything you need to train. I Highly recommend this place especially if you are just visiting.
Tai Chi is amazing! The instructor is next level! I have a gym and train out of another gym, but the equipment, staff and Tai Chi is what makes me pay more money than average. But this club is not average.
