YWCA Central Massachusetts runs Camp Wind-in-the-Pines, a summer day camp for school-aged children ages 6 to 13 on Stiles Reservoir in Leicester, with a sandy beach and lakefront, boathouse and dock, recreation halls, a ball field and nature trails. Weekly themed sessions each include swim lessons, recreational swim, boating for campers 8 and older, arts and crafts, games, sports and literacy, with campers divided into age groups and counselors certified in CPR and first aid. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., across ten one-week sessions from late June through August; registration is first-come, first-served by session, drop-off and pick-up transportation from the Worcester YWCA is available for an added fee, and partial scholarships are offered to families with demonstrated financial need.

You can find schedules for the fitness classes, pool times, and basketball court times online. Call the YWCA ahead of time to double check when the courts are available because some of their programming is weather dependent. An important organization and a wonderful addition to the community.
