Young Playwrights' Theater (YPT) is a Northwest DC nonprofit theater-education organization that runs a half-day Summer Playwriting Camp for local youth: about three weeks writing original plays followed by two weeks of acting and rehearsal, culminating in a live performance. YPT's creative-writing and theater programs serve young people roughly ages 8-18 (and up to 24 across all programs), including a summer program supporting 3rd-5th graders at risk of learning loss.
