Since the founder has decided that my private emails can be shared with people outside of the school, I see no reason why I should keep any of this private anymore. It's truly a shame I have to give this school 1-star because many of the teachers I've had have been truly AMAZING and I'm honored to have learned under them. But, that doesn't stop what is happening at a higher level of the school. BE WARNED: the school does not care about you! Management has its favorites and that's all they care about!! Favorites can get away with anything, including being late, ignoring allergens, lying, property damage, and if you believe the rumors, not paying or having management pay for their classes, which at this point, the rumors are believable, so who knows! However, if you have an important work call and are running even the tinniest bit late, be prepared to be scolded like an insolent child, because how dare you disrespect that class that way! I tried to explain how their favoritism was creating such a toxic environment for students not even in the class with the favorite that it was unbearable. Instead, they let me not finish paying anything off (which, I'm grateful for because at that point I wasn't getting what I was paying for anyway) and informed me I was no longer welcomed back to the conservatory. The school will not listen to you. Instead, they're so stuck on staying in the past that they will call you non-stop. They won't replace the chalkboards with whiteboards, because the founder had chalkboards in her class growing up, so that's what we have to use, even though they're falling apart. You can't trust management with literally anything. They don't care! On top of that, don't you dare complain on paper, because you can't trust them not to put it in the hands of people who will then threaten you with legal action over nothing... It's a shame. I loved this school! I loved the people I met there, but management is running it into the ground over a couple of students, who in the end are going to be so entitled thinking they can get away with their nonsense in the real world, that no one will trust that that isn't the type of student the conservatory will continue to put out into the field of acting. Who cares about the school's reputation? Not the school! They only care about their favorites and how they're doing. In fact, if you need tangible evidence about how they truly feel about “community” you need to look no further than the mural that honors the “likeness” of a SINGULAR student…. Thank you for reading. Everyone’s first picture is the raised red brick building that is a 1980’s church on a block with row houses. This building stands out in a beautiful way. Inside is a 1981 Last Supper sculpture depicting Jesus and his disciples as Black. They do public views, it's worth a visit. You can sign up for an acting class as well.

Inside a 1980 church building is one of the city's best acting conservatories that offers classes for all types of people. On a block with rowhouses, the red raised building sticks out.
