Me and the boys came swimming here a few days ago and had a very strange experience. It has taken me a few days to get over this and actually come to terms with what happened so that’s why this review is a few days delayed. Me and the boys showed up around 1:00pm last Thursday to come swimming. Now we were swimming in the deep end and all the sudden all of us felt a massive pulling sensation like something was dragging us down below the water. The pool drain was a missive grate on the wall and I swam down earlier and saw massive fans inside of it. The fans turned on to clean the pool and were taking us down. I screamed for help and the hot twink lifeguards came rushing to our aid. But the thing that shocked me was one of them swam down to me and my bro Connor who were already stuck to the grate fighting to survive and not drown and the lifeguard whose name was I forgot tried selling us a top side loader washer by Braun! My other 2 friends managed to swim away fast enough to not get pulled down. The lifeguard said before he shuts the fans off and saves us we must put a down payment of 500$ on the washer. I was floored but we did and he saved our lives. I couldn’t believe the lifeguards here would try to sell a 400 pound TSL washer before saving a life. Unbelievable, and I left asking myself do you hire laundry salesman or lifeguards?

I am not a member of the YMCA, but have signed my child up for several activities (swim, soccer, basketball). It is a great place to learn the foundations of sports. Coaches are awesome, facilities great, easy to sign-up. Highly recommend taking advantage of the great programs available to non-members.

I coach booth my kids' soccer teams at the Y and sometimes take them to Homeschool activities there. Amazing organizations. No one is perfect, but the YMCA is a wonderful contributor to our community! Highly recommend!

Ymca does birthday parties. They have a room you can rent out and have access to the whole facility even the pool. Thank you YMCA coastal carolina for making my daughter's third birthday the best yet. The staff is very helpful and their prices are so affordable even if you are not a member. I highly recommend for a party. Thank you

The YMCA has completely changed my life for the better. From the amazing instructors to the incredible daycare staff, every single person here goes above and beyond. The fitness classes have not only helped me grow stronger physically, but also mentally — it’s truly become my happy place. The childcare team is absolutely wonderful. This was my daughters’ very first daycare experience, and the teachers have helped them blossom socially in ways I couldn’t have imagined. They feel safe, loved, and excited to go every time — which as a mom means everything. I’m so thankful for the YMCA community! 🫶
