I’ve been connected to the Wilton YMCA for close to 30 years. I was a member as a kid, then grew up to be a camp counselor here, and now I’m back with a family of my own. We’ve been members for the past four years, and the experience has been fantastic. Our kids love their swim classes and free swim. We regularly use the fitness center and my husband joins the weekend basketball games when he can. Child Watch services is an added bonus especially for me after a busy work day so I can get some time to myself to stay active. Our kids also love the summer camp program and always look forward to Kids Zone on no-school days. They have also enjoyed special events the Y hosts. The recent Halloween Spooktacular and trunk or treat was a huge hit. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, and the community vibe is something you really can’t find anywhere else. We’re grateful to have such a wonderful YMCA in our area!
The Wilton ymca has become a second home to my family, since moving back to the area in 2021! I was a new Mom, looking to get back in shape, but also find a sense of community. Since then, we’ve benefitted from many of the amazing programs they have to offer for families! From babysitting while you work out, to infant swim classes, preschool, camp, sports and more! My son has truly flourished in the preschool program at the Y. The teachers and director are incredible and they have so many options to choose from, depending on your childcare needs. They are truly invested in your child’s growth and learning, but more importantly, in teaching them to be kind and compassionate humans. The summer camp is literally the highlight of my son’s entire summer! There’s no other camp like it in the area and the staff are all such good people! They honestly just want kids to be kids, get dirty, have fun and have unforgettable experiences. Last, but definitely not least! I have to recommend the youth sports programs with Coach Kaz! He is the best! I don’t know how he makes these kids listen, but it must be magic. This is the first year my son has done both T-ball and floor hockey after school and he can’t get enough of it. Not only have these programs taught my son good sportsmanship & discipline, but they have also given him confidence and a perfect introduction to what sports should be and they should be fun!!! We love the Wilton YMCA so much!
As someone who basically grew up at the YMCA pool, swimming laps there through high school and spending countless hours along that pool deck, I can honestly say coming back to work out during college felt like coming home. The staff has always been friendly, and they somehow still remembered me even after I left for school. The atmosphere is welcoming in a way that most fitness centers just can’t replicate. Whether you’re a competitive swimmer or someone easing into a healthier routine, the Y meets you where you are. The pool is clean and well-maintained, and the lifeguards take their jobs seriously while still creating a positive environment. The fitness center is also better than I remember with updated equipment, plenty of space, and a mix of people of all ages working toward their own goals. It’s motivating without ever feeling intimidating. What I appreciate most is that the YMCA isn’t just a gym; it’s a community. Coming back during college breaks reminded me why I loved it so much in the first place. It’s a place where people know each other, encourage each other, and genuinely care. If you’re looking for a place to swim, work out, or just feel supported on your fitness journey, I can’t recommend the YMCA enough.
LOVE this program. The gymnastics staff and coaches are excellent and help your child be the best of their ability. Their communication and friendliness are fantastic and it’s easy to have a conversation with anyone there. Their program is growing fast and there are so many great gymnasts shining! Cannot recommend enough!
