Nonprofit community rowing club at Chickahominy Riverfront Park that runs two-week Summer Youth Learn to Row sessions for ages 10-16, no experience required. Athletes row on Gordon Creek and the Chickahominy River, learning rowing fundamentals and water safety while building strength and coordination as part of a crew. Sessions meet Monday-Thursday, 9-11 AM, with Friday held as a weather make-up day, and five sessions run from mid-June through August. Participants must be able to swim, and graduates can continue into the club's middle school or high school club teams; scholarships are offered.

Nicest group of people who are working to bring the experience of rowing to the community. I don’t have other clubs to compare it to but I would suggest you reach out if you are interested. Rowing is for middle school age through adults. They are looking for high schoolers now.
Lovely rowing venue. The club let me launch from their boathouse to practice for their head race.
There's not a better club around to get out on the water!!! Lessons are great, coaches are outstanding, and the members are simply awesome. It's an excellent place to learn to row and be part of the community!!
Up and coming club with some dedicated coaching. Juniors and Masters programs, mostly sweep rowing.
