The staff is outstanding especially Shannon at the front desk. The people who workout there are friendly. My issues The gym is very small and the limited equipment is packed in. I wish they had standard preacher bench for curls and a flat standard bench press machine. They are the only show in town so they can charge 2x the price of the "purple" national chain.

Very poorly run. West Point is the poor step child. On the occasion an instructor cannot make their class, there is very rarely a substitute. In the case of chair yoga when our fabulous teacher Babitt is unavailable, there is no replacement My membership Cost is hardly worth the return on the investment

I'm generously giving a star for the kindness and friendliness of the person who was at the desk and gave me information today. Otherwise it'd have been one star because what they say are their "core values" are not the values that are actually practiced. "Our Core Values Our Y supports the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and we are guided by the following principles as we work to strengthen the foundations of community." This is not honest, they do not care about or respect people who have struggled to literally stay alive without the privilege of being able to make enough money to join now that life has become peaceful enough to focus on health at a gym facility. The person at the desk was kind enough to listen to me whine a bit about feeling left out of life in the community because I was busy defying odds, fighting for my life to protect others, and taking full and sole responsibility for much that wasn't fair or right, with no support for several years, and how joyful I feel now that I'm able to participate in things like this. Yay!! Until she informed me that this organization doesn't really mean "everyone" when they say everyone. "Everyone is Welcome What sets the YMCA apart is that we make membership, programs, services, and facilities available regardless of a family or individual’s ability to pay the standard membership and program fees." Another door shut in my face but if I'm anything, I'm resilient. I'll just have to find a place that is actually honest, caring, etc. Wish me luck ha

Finally! Hours that fit our schedule! So very glad to hear they are going 24 hours in June. We will be utilizing the facilities much more now on a daily basis and especially Sundays. Thank you YMCA. Great move!

The staff is beyond awesome! I need encouragement and I sure found it there! Ashley and Jeanne have been a life saver with the encouragement and Jeff has been so so helpful with membership issues....I love the West Point Y staff! Ps I see below that K Johnson review was about how small it was and no pool....well I just left a large Y with a pool 10 mintues closer to my house because the staff at West Point was so awesome....the size of the place has nothing to do with me getting to my goals and WP staff cares about that..the large Y did not...just my experience
