This has been an awesome experience for us! We came a few years ago and took a break and have been coming again for a few months to prep for the summer. My 7 year old daughter is much more flexible than my 5 year old son and she had quite a few different teachers and she's flourished with them all, quickly advancing to level 10! She's loved Samantha, Paula, Alexis, Sofia, Bridget, Raven and a few more. My son on the other hand is very particular and sensitive and also a little nervous about the water. We tried a couple teachers for him and found an absolute gem in Trevor! Trevor paid attention to his fears and hesitation, encouraged him, made him laugh and taught him how to swim! He looked forward to lessons with Trevor twice a week and he really pushed him out of his comfort zone in such a gentle way that my son felt brave and so proud of himself! We're ready for a much safer summer! Thank you!

UPDATE: I heard from a regional manager because of my review & she tried to explain their policies and then asked that I take this review down. I said I’d think about it. I did get an email confirming my refund. She then called me again, but I missed It so she left a voicemail saying I needed to call her urgently. I called her back and she said she listened to my phone call from last night and “don’t you think you’re being unreasonable? Don’t you think you should take down the review?” ^WOW. Just wow. ^ I signed my daughter up for the family swim Easter event, then got a voicemail and email from a manager that they’ve cancelled the event and issued me a credit. I’m a swim coach/instructor myself with my own pool and my 3.5 year old daughter has been swimming completely water safe since she was 2.5 years old. The main appeal was to bring her to this festive event and be able to swim around other kids during it. Otherwise, I have no need to bring her to a facility and pay for family swim or lessons. At this point, I’m just waiting for her to turn 5 and be able to join a swim team, if she wants. It took calling and not getting a call back as promised, chatting via their live chat and getting told a manager would call me back, then the manager trying to sell me on using the credit, which I’d already explained I’m not interested in…for me to get them to reimburse. Shouldn’t be this hard to get my money back for an event I paid for and they cancelled so heads up if you sign up for stuff with them - they default to credit and are pains about reimbursing.

If you want to enroll your kids for swimming lessons, look no further!! WaterWorks Carlsbad is the place to go. My son has Autism and Samantha, his swimming instructor, was very patient and sweet. 100% recommended!!!!!!!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge our swim instructor, Valeria. My child has been attending lessons for a year now, and we’ve had the privilege of working with Valeria for the past few months. She is truly an amazing human being. Her kindness, patience, and gentle approach shine through in everything she does. The way she connects with children—especially those with special needs—is something I deeply admire. She teaches with so much love and care that it’s impossible not to notice how comfortable and happy the kids are around her. We are incredibly grateful for all she brings to each lesson.
