This is by far the worst YMCA I have ever been too the entire staff was unprofessional I had a horrible experience from beginning to end. I was told there are life guards on duty but they aren’t responsible for saving your child you must be in the pool with them. What are their job descriptions and what do they get paid to do??? Is my question I thought that was their job. The staff sits and talks about paying customers on the walkie talkie. There are so many unnecessary rules before you can actually enjoy the pool. I think they need better training and better customer service. I will not return this location at all. I would love to talk to someone higher up about this location because this is ridiculous they made a lot of parents uncomfortable at this location. This was the staff on duty this day as well. Please talk to your staff

This is actually a nice facility, but the welcome is EVERYTHING. Rosa at the front desk is disgustingly rude. I am a person who believes in giving people grace and that everybody is allowed to have a bad day. Only my second interaction with her, and yeah she's just a nasty person. I always speak and say hello when I walk into a business. Rosa will absolutely not speak back. My first encounter with her was maybe 2 weeks ago when I went in to swim. I spoke, she just looked up and said "what are you here for" and I said to swim. She then said "did you read the sign, the pool is closed" and then went back to whatever she was doing. Go again to this location, speak and she ignored me, didnt even make eye contact just dryly looked at the computer and kept saying my membership wasn't working and shaking her head like she was annoyed. Another employee walked up spoke, smiling and immediately did something with the computer which then took my membership with no problem. I have had nothing but pleasant interactions with all other employees at this location, so maybe the two star isn't fair. But Rosa definitely puts a bad taste in your mouth when you're just going out to have a good day. If she hates her job that much, she shouldn't be working there!!!

I haven't been to Wade Walker Park in over a year. I am so impressed with the upgrades! The parking has always been adequate. Nearly every playground apparatus has a covering for added shade! There is a music area, a rock climbing wall, several slides, a chalk board, a board with the alphabets in sign language, tic tac toe, multiple zip lines, and so much more! The restrooms are accessible, and it has 4 pavilions. It also has a large field, and a paved area around the playground for walking, riding a bike or roller skating. The park is very clean and well landscaped. It is fun for all ages!

I love the Wade Walker YMCA in Stone Mountain. It is staffed by friendly people, is well maintained and has a generous parking lot. The swimming pool is large and has 4 lap lanes with 2-3 always available for lap swimming. There are sections for families and kids and there is even an outdoor pool with slides, etc. but this is only available during the late spring and summer. The facility offers water aerobics and has a sauna and a whirlpool and the pool area is always staffed with young, friendly lifeguards who are always watching over the activities. The only reason I gave this facility 4 instead of 5 stars is because there are only a few yoga classes offered and the rooms where the yoga classes are held are often inadequate for the activity.

HORRIBLE experience today at this YMCA. I feel Rosa, the woman at the front check-in, made it her mission and got some kind of enjoyment out of ruining my day. From the moment I walked in, nothing but attitude and drama. There was a block on my account, I try explaining yes I was here a few days ago and I spoke with member services right behind you and they said they were submitting a ticket to have it removed. She said well I can’t let you in. (There’s a bit of back and forth) I walk to member services and she literally follows me like I’m stealing from a store or something. I sit down and begin talking to Celestine - Rosa repeatedly interjects and I ask her “why are you bringing this energy over here? I’m dealing with Celestine now please go back over there”. She eventually returns to the front check in once prompted by Celestine. Celestine takes a look at my account and it shows as active on her in. Eventually the wellness director (a very nice lady) comes over, calls corporate and gets it resolved. The wellness director tells me I’m good to go. I go back to the front desk and Rosa (again with an attitude) tells me I need to take a picture I tell her I look crazy and can’t today. She says she can’t let me in. (Mind you I’ve had a membership for YEARS and have never been treated like this or had an issue). The Wellness Director tells me that is their policy but to just go enjoy my workout for today. I tell her no thank you and that I’m going to leave as I feel it was Rosa’s personal goal to ruin my day regardless.
