The City of Decatur's Tennis & Swim Camp at Glenlake Tennis Center pairs 90 minutes of morning tennis instruction with swimming at the adjacent Glenlake Pool, then lunch, a free-play period, afternoon match play and a closing swim. It runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday, in week-long sessions from late May through the end of July for ages 7-15, at $300 for Decatur residents and $325 for non-residents. Campers bring a lunch, swimsuit and towel each day, and closed-toe shoes are required on the courts. Registration is through Decatur Parks & Recreation, where new accounts can face a residency-verification delay.

Powered by GoogleKids loved tennis and swim camp this summer. A couple months after camp my car battery died. I walked into the tennis center and Coach Nia knew me by my kid's names. She is awesome! Clearly knew her way around a car and had a nice set of jumper cables. Coach Nia truly is a bright star in this world.
Parking can be a challenge with the adjacent pool and park. The dated facility is typically manned by a friendly staff. The court surface is kinda unique for the area. It is a hard plastic or rubber surface that plays relatively slow.
Five courts in a row and a small clubhouse at the end. Courts are very comfy to play on but the surface has major dead spots. Parking can be tight on summer days as there is a pool and dog park that share the lot. Nice staff. Convenient Decatur location.
The courts are hardly cared for, employees are rude, form taught is not effective, and it is impossible to book a private lesson.
Very spacious but limited parking. Nice place for kids and adults. Basketball, open field, playground, area for shade and grilling, and crew to empty the trash. Will definitely return.
