My daughter has been going to VCN for about 5 years, she loves all the girls and the coaches are the best. They have a great schedule and pricing can vary (club or local) if your daughter dose other sports. The camps are the best for actually learning a skill 👍

VCN destroyed my child’s confidence in her volleyball skills. She worked hard on her skills and physical abilities over the summer and was hopeful to join a new club to help her develop further so she switched clubs. What we found was disappointing. She was excited for the way VCN runs practices, but ended up being disappointed with the lack of feedback during practices, feeling like it was all demonstration then running through drills without knowing if she was performing correctly or how to improve. Her coach would forgot about her, so she said she spent much time on the sideline. Plus, parents aren’t allowed to even watch from the balcony, which is concerning. Even though she attended all of the practices and knew the rotations, she sat out way more than girls that were hardly at practice and sometimes even tournaments. She didn’t understand why and would sob after tournaments. Not only that, but the coach would ask her to tell the other girls what they were doing wrong during timeouts, putting her in a very awkward position. My daughter will probably never be on a top team, and that’s fine with us, but still deserves the opportunity to be coached well and have equal opportunities to grow in the sport she loves. The most concerning thing was when I reached out to the club directors to share my concerns. We were still considering staying for club season, knowing that no club is perfect and maybe we just had a bad experience, but they didn’t seem to accept most of my feedback or care that they had put a child in a bad situation. It was a very disheartening phone conversation. I cannot see any way that continuing at VCN would be helpful to my daughter, so we have decided to move on. If you consider this club, I hope you have a better experience for the money you pay than we did!

So disappointed with what this club has become. Ability no longer seems to be a factor as to team or playing time, but rather who your family is, the connections they have, who the coaches like or don't like and the politics involved in the volleyball world. VCN has really lost their way from their initial mission by hiring biased coaches with zero communication skills. The emotional damage they are inflicting on young women, with their coaching "style" is immeasurable. This isn't college or the pros... this is supposed to be a developmental time of the sport. It should be a time of hard work, discipline and learning, while fun and in a safe space. Instead, it's torture for some while coaches turn a blind eye to the "mean girl" environment that has been created.. and in one case that I'm aware of, participate in being a "mean girl" themselves. (Beyond unacceptable behavior for a coach) I can't warn other parents strongly enough to take a hard look at the VCN culture of today and decide for yourselves if that's what you want your child subjected to and additionally, if this is the club you want to invest your time and money into. ( A LOT of $$$) VCN may still be ok for younger kids to learn VB skills, but as these girls get older THIS club experience is soul crushing, for both child and parents. VCN certainly needs to re-evaluate its purpose and priorities.

I will never sign my daughter up for vcn volleyball again. The whole team treated her very poorly.Coaches very unprofessional. Didn't let a couple of the players play for numerous games.

The facility is a nice dual purpose (basketball & volleyball) multi court complex. It is clean and well light. There is a concession stand and a balcony overlook.
