I think this is more a question because its so uncomfortable for me. Is it normal to go to the ymca alone and just sit in the pool? I want to swim in the pool so bad but I cant stand feeling awkward when im alone :(.

The last of the OG ymca's. If you know you know. They all have their perks but the Northeast YMCA has the coed sauna that is very very small but it still has all the old school appeal. I think all of us who remember will agree we all miss the downtown YMCA as that place was the cat's meow back in the day

This location has been improved in over 20 years. A lot of the same equipment outdate and need replaced. Multiple times a grumpy front desk gives a teen a bracelet who passed strength class but comes down 30 minutes later and questions why he is down lifting. If you dont like ur job prolly shouldnt be taking it out on kids. This facility is also over ran by middle/school kids with no adult supervision taking selfies in the weight room or messing around in the gym.

It's like they are trying to polish this place up, but not wanting to actually spend the $. For the love of all things fitness quit removing actual equipment that is useful! Keep replacing beneficial equipment with bs equipment. Is this a rehab center or a fitness center? Quit closing the sauna just because the pools closed. This locations only 5 star is an employee named Troy.

The Northeast YMCA has really upped their game. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in explaining many things. Also I no longer see unsupervised kids in the gym. The staff are always looking out for others.
