theCoderSchool is a coding school for kids founded in 2013, now a franchise of over 70 locations teaching more than 7,000 students a week; this is its Tribeca location in Manhattan. Its summer coding camps serve ages roughly 7-14 and run a full week each, covering video game development, robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, JavaScript with HTML/CSS and mobile game development. Each camp carries an age and skill-level recommendation, though the school says placement is open to discussion based on a child's coding experience. Camps typically start mid-morning and end early afternoon, and some are offered as half-days.

Powered by GoogleOscar and Hugo have absolutely loved their coding classes at The Coder School Tribeca. It’s been the highlight of their week, and I’ve never seen them so focused and engaged. The teachers are wonderful with the kids, patient and genuinely enthusiastic. The welcome has always been so warm. We will really miss this place when we move back to Europe. Highly recommend!
Our daughter has enjoyed her classes at theCoderSchool. It has built up her confidence and the staff are friendly. We are happy we signed up and plan to continue!
TCS offers a fun way for younger kids to learn coding skills. Coaches adapt very well to the individuals needs and are able to give 1:1 attention. The Management is flexible and works with you to ensure your child gets the best possible experience
The best!! The 1-1 method is great, and the instructors are super fun and engaging for my 11 year old. He's also loving the robotics team that is hosted there by the local high school students. Tammy has built a great community at TCS, we're so happy to be a part of it.
Our 9-yo son enjoyed the two week-long summer camps he did at The Coder School, so we signed him up for weekly 1:1 coaching sessions. He gets a lot of freedom to pursue the projects he wants, with guidance from his coach. I also appreciate how the coaches consistently give written updates on what your kid is working on. Especially if you have multiple kids with different interests, you'll find the location of this school to be super convenient, right next to all sorts of other out-of-school activities (dance, math, fashion design, public library).
