The Children's Art Studio is a nonprofit art studio in the Forest Hills area of Northwest DC that runs summer art camps and workshops for children roughly ages 5-13. Programming centers on hands-on art-making, with one-day workshops running from 9am to 2pm. I have always appreciated the calm and creative space, but never more than now. The children make beautiful creations and they love it. The studio is inclusive and welcoming for kids with disabilities and at all different ages and levels. The Zoom classes work so well--better than anything else the kids are doing online. We get some elusive quiet and serenity during class! Highly recommend.

★★Joelle ZiemianMy daughter attended a one-day class and it was disappointing, given the high cost ($95 for 5 hours). The instructors were very young - and although the kids did a lot of activities, it was not serious; more like crafts than art. Some of the attendees were really badly behaved and completely uninterested. This is probably for children closer to 5 or 6 than 8 or 9.
