Powered by GoogleI love the YMCA and the classes are the best!!! I really enjoy RPM and Body pump, which I attend regularly and would highly recommend for their top notch instructors. Facility is great, very well maintained and the equipment is modern. If you are single, however, know that you will pay a hefty "single tax". The Y is geared towards families and older adults, as a single adult in her 30s I feel somewhat like a "red-headed stepchild" here at times. I do feel as though the schedule is made with older adults and "stay at home" mothers in mind, and not as much for working singles. Would love a good cardio class early in the morning on weekdays. They do cater very well to their main clientele and I have had a great overall experience with the facility and the friendly staff.
Bedford YMCA, amazing, staff to management. On point. Focus and caring. My family lives the place.
This review is specific to swim lessons. We use the Y year round and the facility is great. We signed up for private swim lessons for our kids which was 100 per kid for 4 lessons each. Three out of our kids 4 lessons their lesson either started late, or one of their instructors was not there. I emailed the aquatic director to express our disappointment and received no response. The actual lesson content was good, when the instructors were present.
The YMCA in Bedford is a beautiful facility, clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The parking lot is well-lit and feels safe, making it easy and comfortable for families to come and go, even in the evening.
Was so excited to visit the new Y today. It’s a beautiful facility with something for everyone. Indoor pool with lazy river, waterslides, lap pool and kids zone (outdoor pool to come), nice locker room facilities with lockers you can code on site vs having to bring a lock with you, showers and family sized options, event rooms, upstairs workout area, track, basketball courts, outdoor court, many studio spaces for classes and a quiet hall with tables, couches etc for studying, chatting with friends or remote work options. Outside there is a small lake with walking trails and a newer playground that is not yet open. There are already some really great activities for kids, teens, homeschoolers and adults. We have always loved the Y and are about 30-40 mins away from this Y. It’s well worth the visit. I am hopeful a facility like this will one day come to NFW area!
