Powered by GoogleI had so much fun with Lina and the class! And, it’s such fun working with clay! Lina is such a joyful person, people can’t help but smile being with her. She guides, encourages, and awakens your creativity. I love what I made! I can’t wait for the next class!
The new Artcade space is fantastic. There’s a great gallery walk of wonderful pieces from Conejo Valley artists. Looking forward to attending life drawing here. Check it out sometime!
My daughter has been taking classes at The Arterie since the beginning of the school year. I can't tell you how much she loves it! She loves going in, getting her things together and starting to make something. She loves that she has freedom to express and create... with some guidance and feedback but also enough room for her work to be HER work vs a cookie cutter composition that looks exactly like some other artist. She gets to see and play with art the way she wants to, AND I love bringing pieces home and hanging them on the wall. (Talk about a self-esteem booster for her!) I love that Cara and her team bring real art concepts to the kids in a way that they understand and relate to. I highly recommend The Arterie to anyone who is looking to support their child's artistic expression. It's sooooo important... And as an artist myself, I just love creating a love for arts with kids without judgement or assessment.
Cara and The Arterie are incredible! I hosted a bachelorette party at The Arterie, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our bride and all our friends. We had been scheduled to be in a different place, but just five days before the planned party, our Airbnb host canceled on us such that we had to make all new last-minute plans. I sent an inquiry to Cara and The Arterie, and she responded immediately. She welcomed our private party to her studio on just five days' notice, and was amazingly flexible with her schedule to fit us in. She and I worked together to determine what painting to do, and she happily agreed to prepare and teach a brand new personal-to-our-bride painting with us. Then in the actual class, she was fantastically kind, supportive, personal, and conversational, and she taught us a lot about color theory and painting techniques while we worked. She encouraged everyone to put their own personal flair in their paintings, and we all came away with both an incredibly special souvenir and a wonderful set of memories. I give my absolute highest recommendation for everyone to visit Cara and The Arterie!
Our 5 year old daughter has been taking classes at the Arterie for over a year and we couldn’t be happier! We wanted to expose our daughter to different after school activities and we are so happy that we were able to find such an amazing art studio in the area. Our daughter looks forward to her classes every single week and she is always excited to show us her latest creations. Both Cara and Sarah have been the best teachers we could have asked for and our daughter even says she wants to be like her teachers when she grows up. We highly recommend "The Arterie" for anyone looking to explore art as an outlet of pure creativity and imagination!
