Team Esface is a wonderful professionally run AAU basketball club in Redwood City - the coaches are great but the management is the best overall - everything is very smooth, all communications are on point, the facilities are good and they really try to put their best foot forward It IS a bit of a premium program though - they're definitely catering towards the upper band of the market so prices are high - for everything from 1-1, group training as well as the season packages - other programs are much cheaper though I have heard things aren't as smoothly run there Join Team Esface if you can afford it - it definitely is extremely well run and the club has a very good reputation among rival clubs - one of them just told me recently "oh you're good at Esface, they're good people" - and parents with kids at other clubs have also remarked positively on how well behaved the Esface kids are - the style here is definitely NOT aggro and yelling at kids - its much calmer A+

Multiple level of skills development programs available with highly qualified coaches. My son worked his way through many sessions and programs including conditioning, group lessons, specific skills trainings and AAU league teams. The whole objective is not to get into the highest level team but to get into the right team to maximize playing time and skills development. Sitting on the bench of the black team won't do you much good.

Coaches all have extensive knowledge about the game. Very kind and caring towards the kids. Clinics are tough but within an hours time, you will notice a difference in skill level. We have been at Esface for over 4 years now and it has helped my son greatly. One on Once coaching is also a great addition to clinics. Cost is fair and the coaching is fantastic. My son has never had a coach he did not like. Would highly recommend Esface!

The Esface experience has been nothing but POSITIVE for our son and family. Sean and Dele (and all their coaches) run a great, well thought out, skill building league & practice sessions with the back drop of upbeat and fun music and positive minded development tactics. Kids are ENCOURAGED not discouraged by their approach, something of great importance today in youth sports. My personal favorite is when they announce games and make the kids feel eight feet tall. It makes watching the games thoroughly enjoyable. Well done Esface, many youth sports groups could learn from your approach!!

I highly recommend Esface basketball. It is a well-thought out and artfully executed program. My son played in the True league, did small group clinics, participated in camps, and plays on a U13 AAU team. I have seen the leaders of the organization actively teaching coaches how to interact with players and explaining how the coach's words and actions can influence the players. It is this sort of intentional excellence, and commitment to high standards for all, that make the players want to work really hard and enjoy it at the same time. All of the people who have worked with my son are polite, kind, and extremely dedicated. These coaches tell him his strengths and help him develop a healthy confidence, but they also tell him what he needs to work on, so he feels empowered to grow and stretch - not just in basketball skills but also in the way he thinks about his game and even his life. They demand the players give their best effort physically, mentally, and emotionally. Sportsmanship is a big deal here. The coaches, players and their families all know they are lucky to be part of such a top-notch community of athletes.
