BEWARE!!! I purchased a lesson on August 11th with Michael. I was in much need of learning to swim after having a near death experience. The week before my lesson Michael contact me about his illness and asked if I could reschedule or want a refund. I had no problem rescheduling, and emailed him about the new lesson date. This was on 8/17 and didn’t receive a response back until 8/22 when I just said never mind and requested a refund. He apologized for the lack of communication, which is fine but as a business owner myself I understand how timely responses is important for customers. When I receive the email with the apologies, he stated he would process my refund immediately. Since then I have sent one email that haven’t received a response and another one today stating my disappointment in the handling of this matter as well as how I am proceeding to get my money back with my bank. I really wanted to just learned to swim and hate that this happened. Michael and Tappswimming might provide great lesson and service, but that is not my experience.

Our experience with Tapp has been amazing! My son is severely autistic and non-speaking so it takes a ton of patience, knowledge and willingness to find solutions that will work for my son. Michael has been such a great instructor and my son has already learned new skills just after a few lessons. Very grateful that Tapp Swimming is so accommodating and inclusive.

My son who is diagnosed with autism and nonverbal began with Mike back in September 2022. Since then, he now comfortably swims in 6 1/2 feet, and is fully aware of water safety. He enters and exits the pool with no problems. He is incredibly comfortable with the water and I have Mike to thank for that 100%. The patience he had and still has with him is truly appreciated in a world where that is not always seen for children with special needs. He is only going to get better, and now my other children have hopped aboard with the other instructors! Nothing but positive things to say about Tapp. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them any day of the week.

Tapp swimming is wonderful! My son is becoming a strong and independent swimmer. Michael is so patient and kind towards my 5 year old, but he still has high expectations for him. This is definitely the best swim school in the area!
