Indoor swim school in West Los Angeles founded in 2005 by Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg, teaching children from three months through adults using its proprietary SwimRight (swim-float-swim) method in heated saltwater pools. Programs are private and group lessons, including a water-safety track; reviewed sources show lessons rather than a dedicated summer camp.

Powered by GoogleI can’t speak highly enough about Jesse C. as a swim instructor. His patience, positive attitude, and ability to adapt each lesson to the student’s needs are the marks of a true educator. It’s one thing to know how to swim, but it’s another to effectively teach an adult student who had never quite been able to “get it” before. Thank you for helping me achieve my goal and proving that you’re never too old to learn something new!
It’s a great thing to learn to swim. I did it when I was five and I’m still loving the water.. Now that I’m in my golden years, I love the buoyancy and the fact that gravity doesn’t have any influence on movement in the water. There’s a swim right program at the MARJCC in North Miami Beach Beach, which is one of the best Jcc’s I think in the country. It has three pools, one indoor two outdoor. It makes such a difference in your day when you swim right you start your day Right!
We have loved our swim lessons at SwimRight Academy. We started when my daughter was around 12 months and have been going for a few months now. She was skeptical in the beginning, but now gets so excited to go to class and loves all of the activities in the water. We think this will be a great foundation for water safety as she grows up. Her instructor Joey is the best! He is so great with the kids and lets each kid go at their own pace while also getting each kid more and more comfortable with his expertise. He has a great way with the kids and my velcro daughter absolutely loves him and reaches for him in the water when he's demonstrating an activity. Definitely recommend for baby/toddler lessons!
We attended SwimRight for several months, and at first everything was going well. The experience changed when, due to our regular coach’s absence, our son was placed with a different instructor. He had only just learned to back float when he was asked to jump from the wall independently—something he had never done before—and to surface into a back float on his own. This was far beyond his level at the time, and he panicked as he struggled to reach the surface without assistance (and thus multiple times). The incident left him traumatized and fearful of the water (which was never an issue before) and although we tried to continue for a while and tried to push through, we eventually decided to stop the lessons to avoid creating further trauma and instead focused on helping him simply enjoy being in the water again. When I raised my concerns with the office, they defended the coach, saying that children need to be pushed out of their comfort zone. While I agree with that in principle, it did not reflect what happened in this case. There was a clear lack of understanding of my son’s level (even though I shown my son’s book that included his progress) and absolutely no accountability for the situation. A year later, we enrolled our son at a different swim academy that follows the same methodology, but with consistent coaches this time. It was confirmed that what my son was asked to do that day was far too big a leap for his skill - it’s actually a complete different level. Bottom line: This experience set our son back by a year and required considerable effort to help him regain confidence in the water. Therefore, we don’t recommend this place. Even though, there are positive reviews, it’s not worth taking the risk to have a similar experience than ours.
We absolutely love Sam at Swim Right Academy! He’s such a great instructor — patient, structured, and truly invested in progress. I really appreciate that the class isn’t just play time; Sam has a clear plan each session, and he gently pushes us forward in a way that feels encouraging, not overwhelming. I can see Archie actually learning real skills, not just splashing around. And honestly, I’m learning right alongside him! Sam makes everything easy to understand, and the confidence Archie is gaining each week is amazing to watch. Archie looks forward to every class, and it’s because Sam creates an environment that’s fun and productive. Highly recommend him to any parent who wants their child to truly learn and grow in the water!
