Summer theatre day camps at Swift Creek Mill Theatre, a professional nonprofit theatre on U.S. 1 in South Chesterfield, taught by working area theatre artists and educators. Elementary campers take week-long morning or full-day workshops on storytelling and specific crafts of theatre, with lunch provided and two nights of ticketed performances at the end. An Exploratory Camp offers two one-week samplers of everything from props and makeup to acting and lighting, and middle and high schoolers can join multi-week performance camps where they audition, are cast, and fully produce a musical including set, lights and costumes. Camps serve up to 100 children a summer, capped at 50 per camp.

Come see plays, musicals, and caberets. Before performance dinners are available and quite good! The Mill also offers children's theater performances and classes. It is a real gem!

★★★★★J. C.Always a great place to visit when in the Tri-cities area. This local theatre is in a beautiful, historical building that was once a grist mill. The view outside is so beautiful. You can walk to the side of the building and see Swift Creek and the old track for the water wheel. Service here is wonderful, with smiling faces and prompt refilling of the water goblet or wine glass. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the fun cabarets. They're intimate and fun, plus filled with upbeat songs for toe-tapping with friends or a cool date night with your love. The management and staff are always wonderful. There's always cool artwork on display around the Mill as well. We're very lucky to have such a neat place to go see shows or grab dinner.
