Tent theatre at Wavery park was a beautiful setting for " Once on an Island " . Avoiding the hassle and COVID risk of New York city was a huge motivator to attend this outside performance ... bring your own chair... General admission section is fine. Show itself was enjoyable enough. especially given the above.

Now relocated to Downtown New Canaan, this open-air tent theatre sets up during in June and July, presenting a professionally produced program of shows for audiences of all ages. During this brief season there are short runs of mostly Broadway shows, as well as child-oriented entertainment and one-night-only performances, all for audiences of around 200. These productions call on fresh local talent both on stage and behind the scenes, working alongside professional performers and production staff.

“Kiss Me, Kate” is one of the best theater experiences I’ve ever enjoyed, and I’m talking about a LOT of theater experience. Brilliantly directed, wonderfully choreographed, superbly sung and such fantastic comic acting! The cast is stellar - I fell absolutely in love with each one of them. This wonderful theater is run by two of the most gracious, charming, delightful people in the world, who have, by the way, produced a genius of a stage director in their daughter. I am now hooked. A fan. An addict. You don’t get this out of me lightly.
